Data Acquisition System Adds Voltage and
Thermocouple Measurement Capabilities
to Portable Applications
OMEGA's new OMB-TEMPBOOK-66 data acquisition system adds voltage and thermocouple measurement capability to notebook PCs for portable test applications and provides an effective alternative to plug-in boards for desktop PCs. The OMB-TEMPBOOK-66 provides 12-bit 100KHz data acquisition and data transfer to a PC via an enhanced parallel port (EPP) interface or PCMCIA link. The unit can also connect to a standard parallel port with slightly slower transfer rates. The OMB-TEMPBOOK-66 has a built-in analog capability that permits it to measure eight differential or sixteen single-ended channels. Input types include millivolt signals, voltage signals and direct thermocouple input without any additional signal conditioning.
For complete portability, an optional rechargeable battery pack is available.
